Insulated and Pan Patio Covers
All our patio cover systems provide strong, versatile, ready to assemble DIY solutions for your next cover project. Each system is engineered according to your local code requirements which includes projection spans for the panels selected as well as maximum span for the posts. With a range of beam and post options available, we can configure the panel to include as many or as few posts as you would like in most cases.

Patio Cover Terminology
Our patio cover systems are designed with the handy homeowner in mind. The units are modular which enable many customizations and almost any size. To the left you will see a schematic that highlights some of the key elements and terminology used in describing and quoting our cover kits. Freestanding and wall attached units are available.

Beam Options
Patio cover kits will include one of 7 different beam types. The selection is based primarily on the local load requirements in combination with the span and number of posts. 3x3 or 4x4 box beams are the most popular and used where possible. A C-beam or I-beam will allow for wider span and fewer posts, but have a different appearance with the open face. Both options can be quoted on request to ensure you get exactly what you desire for your space.
The available beam options, listed from smallest to largest available post span are shown in the images to the right and include:
- 3" x 3" x .078" Extruded Aluminum Box Beam
- 3" x 3" x .125" Extruded Aluminum Box Beam
- 4" x 4" x .125" Extruded Aluminum Box Beam
- 1.75" x 5" Extruded C-Beam
- 2.75" x 6" Extruded C-Beam
- 5.5" x 5" Extruded I-Beam
- 3" x 10" Extruded C-Beam
- 2" x 7" Self Mating C-Beam (NEW)
- 2" x 8" Self Mating C-Beam (NEW)
- 2" x 9" Self Mating C-Beam (NEW)
Post Options
Factory painted posts are provide on all patio cover kits with the size and aluminum gage based on the load requirement for the cover system. Most covers will be use 3x3 or 4x4 posts, though 6x6 is available for extreme heights or snow load conditions. Color matched top and bottom brackets are also provided.
The available post options include:
- 3" x 3" x .078" Extruded Aluminum - 8', 10', 12' lengths
- 3" x 3" x .125" Extruded Aluminum - 8', 10', 12' lengths
- 4" x 4" x .125" Extruded Aluminum - 8', 10', 12' lengths
- 6" x 6" x .125" Extruded Aluminum - 8', 10', 12' lengths
Beam to Post Connections

Warranty Information
The insulated panels are guaranteed not to peel, blister, flake, chip, split, rust, crack or delaminate for the lifetime of the product. The aluminum extrusions are guaranteed not to peel, blister, flake, rust, chip, split or crack for for the life of the original retail purchaser. Subject to the limitations and conditions listed in the LK Aluminum warranty program.
